HARVEST FESTIVAL

Sunday 2nd October at 10am

Harvest is always a special time in the church calendar where traditionally communities met to thank God for the abundance of the crops and success of the farmers around us.  Although it is still used for that purpose it is also a time for us to reflect on those who are less fortunate and don't have full cupboards.  At St Columba's we use our Harvest Festival to collect dried goods to distribute to the People's Kitchen in Newcastle and any fresh donations are given out around our local community.

Our Harvest Festival is always full of uplifting music, our children in the congregation are involved in the service and it's a lovely informal service.  So why not come along and join in?  Donations of goods are gladly accepted but your presence would be even more gratefully received.

Come and make some friends . . . We look forward to seeing you there.

We’re not just a church, we’re a community!
