SAINT GEORGE'S DAY
COFFEE MORNING
Saint George's day is celebrated by various Christian churches and
by the countries, and cities of which Saint George is the patron saint. Saint George's
Day is celebrated on 23rd April, the traditionally accepted date of Saint George's death in
303AD. According to legend, George was a
soldier in the Roman army who later became venerated as a Christian martyr.
We are holding a St George's Day Coffee
Morning on Saturday April 23rd at 10am in the Church Hall.
We'll be having a raffle,
cake stall and a red and white stall.
Entrance is £1 which includes coffee and biscuits. This is to help us to raise much needed
church funds.
